Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) President Pashupathi Murarka along with other office bearers held a meeting with Yaron Mayer, Ambassador of the State of Israel to Nepal today in FNCCI Secretariat.
The meeting also participated by FNCCI Former President and Distinguished Member, Chandi Raj Dhakal, Senior Vice President Bhawani Rana, Vice President Kishor Kumar Pradhan, Executive Committee Member Prakash Giri and Director General Dharanidhar Khatiwoda dealt with issues including, expansion of business between Nepal and Israel, joint venture investment, technology transfer, development of information technology, commercial farming, water purification, reconstruction and business visit, among others.
During the occasion, receiving Ambassador Mayer, President Murarka stating that Nepal had a huge potential in mega investment in agriculture sector said that the country was waiting for receiving agriculture related technology from Israel. He also expressed his belief that the Israeli technology would be significant for the development of One Village; One Product(OVOP) and One District One Product(ODOP) that is being jointly launched by FNCCI and Nepal government.
While Ambassador Mayer reminded the visit of Israel’s Agriculture Minister to Nepal in the last January, stated that his country was ready to help Nepal in its development efforts. He also promised all support from his capacity to help Nepal get the Israeli agriculture technology and also asked FNCCI to suggest as to how Israel could collaborate in the operation of FNCCI’s OVOP and ODOP. He also said that Israeli investors were ready to invest in Nepal’s agro sector in collaboration with local entrepreneurs. Along with he also asked Nepal’s private sector to participate in WATEC Israel 2015 that is being held from 13-15 October this year.

नेपाल उद्योग वाणिज्य महासंघका अध्यक्ष पशुपति मुरारका सहित महासंघका पदाधिकारीहरु र नेपालका लागि इजरायलका राजदुत यारुन मेयर (Mr. Yaron Mayer, Ambassador of the State of Israel to Nepal) बीच आज महासंघ सचिवालयमा आपसी भेटवार्ता सम्पन्न भयो ।महासंघका पूर्व अध्यक्ष एवं विशिष्ट सदस्य चण्डिराज ढकाल, वरिष्ठ उपाध्यक्ष भवानी राणा, उपाध्यक्ष किशोर कुमार प्रधान, कार्यकारिणी समिति सदस्य प्रकाश गिरी, महानिर्देशक धरणीधर खतिवडा सहभागी रहनु भएको सो भेटवार्तामा नेपाल र इजरायल बीच व्यापार विस्तार, संयुक्त लगानी, प्रविधि हस्तान्तरण, सूचना प्रविधिको विकास, व्यवसायिक कृषि विकास, पानी शुद्धिकरण, पुनरनिर्माण, व्यवसायिक भ्रमणको आदान प्रदान लगायतका विषयमा छलफल भयो ।
सो अवसरमा राजदुत यारुन मेयरको स्वागत गर्नुहुंदै महासंघका अध्यक्ष मुरारकाले नेपालको कृषिमा लगानीको ठूलो संभावना रहेकाले नेपाल, इजरायलले प्रयोग गरिरहेको कृषि प्रविधि भित्रयाउन लालयित रहेको बताउनु भयो । उहांले महासंघले नेपाल सरकारको सहयोगमा संचालनमा ल्याएको एक गाउं एक उत्पादन र एक जिल्ला एक उत्पादनमा पनि इजरायलको प्रविधि महत्वपूर्ण हुने वताउनु भयो ।
सो अवसरमा राजदुत यारुनले गत जनवरीमा इजरायलका कृषि मन्त्रीबाट भएको नेपाल भ्रमण स्मरण गराउनु हुंदै नेपालको विकासमा सघाउ पुऱ्याउन आफ्नो देश तयार रहेको बताउनु भयो । उहांले नेपालको कृषि विकासमा इजरायलको प्रविधि आकर्षणमा आफूले सक्दो सहयोग गर्ने र महासंघले संचालन गरेको ओभोप र ओडोपमा पनि कसरी सहकार्य गर्न सकिन्छ, त्यसका लागि महासंघलाई आग्रह गर्नुभयो । राजदुतले नेपालका व्यवसायीसँग मिलेर इजरायली व्यवसायी कृषिमा लगानी गर्न तयार रहेको पनि वताउनु भयो । उहांले सन् २०१५ को अक्टोवर १३ देखि १५ सम्म इजरायलमा हुने पानी सम्बन्धी प्रर्दशनी तथा सम्मेलन (WATEC Israel 2015) मा नेपाली निजी क्षेत्रको सहभागिताका लागि अनुरोध समेत गर्नुभयो ।
